Atlas Copco has expanded its dewatering portfolio with the launch of a new range of Emergency Trash Pumps (ETP), designed to provide fast and reliable water removal in demanding industrial environments. The new petrol-powered pumps are intended for construction, mining, quarrying and other industrial applications, offering dedicated models for both clean water and debris-laden wastewater. Engineered for rapid deployment, the portable pumps are designed to maintain performance in conditions where sediments, sand, stones and organic matter can cause conventional pumps to clog.
“Industrial operations like construction and mining often face unexpected flooding or water accumulation containing abrasive solids and debris,” said Niccolo Tivelli, Product Application Manager, Atlas Copco. “Our new Emergency Trash Pumps give customers a reliable, easy-to-transport solution for handling clean and dirty water applications while maintaining high performance and serviceability.”
The range comprises seven models. Clean water variants deliver flow rates of up to 1,600 l/min, with a maximum head of 60 m and suction capability of up to 7 m. These units can handle solids up to 8 mm in diameter and feature lightweight aluminium components to aid portability.
For more demanding applications, the wastewater models are designed to handle solids up to 29 mm in diameter. Built with cast iron frames and impellers, they deliver flow rates of up to 1,300 l/min and a maximum head of 30 m, while maintaining the same maximum suction rate as the clean water models.
Atlas Copco says the ETP range has been developed with portability, ease of use and simplified maintenance in mind. Features include integrated lifting handles, an open-frame design for easier servicing, and safety measures such as exhaust protection and stable frame construction.
