India’s Pump Academy Private Limited has signed three transfer of technology (ToT) agreements with the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) to enhance the indigenous Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) capabilities of its iPumpnet platform.Pump Academy will now take the acquired technologies through product engineering and industrialisation, with the aim of developing commercially deployable solutions for the water, wastewater and industrial sectors. The company says the technologies will be optimised for manufacturing, scalability, regulatory compliance and integration with its iPumpnet platform.
The additions are expected to strengthen iPumpnet’s capabilities in pump performance assessment, power quality analysis, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring and intelligent asset management, supporting more comprehensive monitoring and optimisation of pumping systems.
Anil Sethi, chairman of Pump Academy Private Limited, said: “This partnership with CSIR-CSIO is a testament to what indigenous engineering can achieve when supported by the right ecosystem. These technologies were conceived and developed in India and will now be industrialized for deployment across Indian and global industries and utilities. This is not a coincidence; it is the very foundation on which we have built iPumpnet. More than a technology transfer, this partnership represents a shared commitment to strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem and advancing solutions that we can proudly build and scale together.”
Founded in 2021, Pump Academy develops AI/ML-enabled IIoT technologies for water and industrial infrastructure, with its iPumpnet platform designed to support predictive maintenance and intelligent pump asset management.
