Pump manufacturer Tsurumi has announced a new partnership with Italy’s Dragflow in the UK, expanding its portfolio to deliver a broader range of solutions for dewatering, slurry pumping and sediment management across construction, mining and municipal infrastructure sectors. The collaboration brings together two complementary areas of expertise, particularly in applications involving liquids with a high solids content. Tsurumi, founded in 1924 in Japan, is known for its submersible pumps designed for demanding environments, with a strong presence in construction, tunnelling and raw materials extraction. Its range includes hundreds of models covering construction dewatering, high-pressure applications, residual water handling and slurry pumping.
Dragflow, meanwhile, specialises in the handling of highly abrasive slurries and sediments. Its portfolio includes dredging systems as well as floating and remote-controlled equipment used in ports, rivers, reservoirs, mining and industrial applications.
In many construction and infrastructure projects, water removal alone is insufficient, with sludge, sand and sediment also requiring efficient handling. Through this partnership, Tsurumi will continue to focus on construction drainage and submersible pump technology, while Dragflow contributes solutions tailored to high-solids scenarios, creating what the companies describe as a complementary offering for the industry.
